Our interdisciplinary and collaborative way of working is based upon the ethos "Many minds are better than one". We believe this delivers added value and fresh thinking to the design process, avoiding the standard consortia response of traditional consultancy practice. Rather than relying on each party within the consortia to go away and produce its design element independently, ready to be stitched together at the end, we see the process and delivery of each element as part of the same continuous fluid design process.
With every project, leadership in managing that process is central to the delivery of a successful and enduring solution. We place a significant emphasis on the discursive and interactive relationship between the client, the stakeholders and ourselves, inviting all to contribute to the process. The resulting consultation framework is integral to our way of working, in which we treat the client and stakeholders as a part of the team in the process of designing and realising the best value and often award-winning outputs.
We question and investigate every project jointly with clients, stakeholders and end users, employing our rigorous process to continuously refine the design. This approach blurs the boundaries between culture, design and ecology to embody a wide range of interests in the creation of the public realm.
