For us "place making" is as much about connectivity and movement as it is about the static public spaces. The process of rediscovering spatial connections and reintroducing these to the public acts as a catalyst for the renaissance of the broader public realm. This focuses our efforts on delivering strategic spaces that are capable of nurturing an accessible pedestrian city again.
We see place making as an opportunity to express the individual characters of cities. New and re-visioned places are important driving forces in creating new initiatives for economic, social, cultural change as well as transport and regeneration opportunities. In many of our projects we explore the potential of 're-visioning' the urban environment, taking advantage of the social opportunities that arise from creating car-free environments, made possible by closely integrating public transport solutions. We help cities reclaim much of their grey, abandoned and overlooked urban areas to make them 'green', both literally in an environmental sense and metaphorically as places of new growth and positive change.
